Skorts and all!

The big trend this summer is skorts, which i for one am definatlety cool with. It sorts out the whole awkward leg crossing ordeal at a picnic while also classing  up the faithful staple "booty shorts". This summer sports luxe is having it's time in the sun, teamed with an undercurrent of residue 90's fever from last season.  On my weekly monthly primark frolick i found this adorable tennis skort that suprisingly looks and feels way more expensive than it is don't you just love when that happens?

My new hair is giving me a perma-swinging -60's vibe which im kind of feeling  at the moment. I dont know why i never believed other people when they say that short hair is so much easier because it really is!

The "Matching" trend

I'm back! after a few days of horrible weather i finally managed to get out and take a few outfit shots today before the torrential downpour started again so....

I'm  HUGE fan of the "matchy-matchy" trend and i've been seeing it all over the place from high street to runway. Now usually i would insist that this look would ONLY be acceptable on baby twins and old church ladies however exceptions can be made especially when pertaining to fabulousity and down right BEAT-ness.

I spotted this saucy little number in primark (i know!) and loved it so much i even brought it in another colour (It was pink and turned out to be butters so it was swiftly returned!). The top was actually normal T-shirt length when i brought it but i thought the look would suit a bit more of  crop top so i trimmed the front and hemmed it and left the back the same length for a dip-hem affect.

It really reminded me of the spice girls in their hey-day with the mini skirts and "belly tops" as they used to be called way back in my day loooong before the "crop top" was coined. So i threw on my platform trainers, fished out my mums old denim jacket from the 90's and went as ratchet as possible with the accessories. I even managed to find a minimalist little monochrome leather rucksack to carry my lollipops in.

The "collarless coat" Trend

I was in London recently and obviously had to hit my old haunts on Fonthill road. People tend to think it's full of tat that's fallen off the back of a van - which is true for the most part - but i always manage to find a gem or two and wangle myself a few deals.

I'm a huge fan of the "collarless coat" trend this season and it was almost destiny when i found this one lodged between some sparkly leggings and a plastic dress.
